For a while, the global leaderboard in TrendTrivia was a members-only room. Free players who tapped the Ranks tab got sent straight to the subscription screen — no peek inside, no payoff for all the XP they'd been piling up. We heard you. That has changed.
Now every player can see where they rank, subscription or not.
Tap Ranks and actually see something
Open the Ranks tab as a free player and you'll land on a real preview instead of a paywall. You'll see your own global position pulled live — something like "#247 of 894 players · top 28%" — alongside the podium of the day's top scorers and a snapshot of where you stand in the wider field. No subscription required just to look.
Why a rank you can see changes everything
XP only feels meaningful when it's going somewhere. Earning points in a vacuum gets old fast. Seeing your actual number — and the players sitting just a few spots ahead of you — turns every game into a chance to climb. It's the difference between collecting points and chasing a place on a real ladder.
What's still part of Premium
The preview is a genuine look, not the whole room. A few things stay reserved for subscribers:
- The full all-time leaderboard, top to bottom
- Daily and weekly leaderboard views
- The friends-only board, to see how you stack up against people you know
- Real-time stats — plus all nine premium game modes
Premium is still $2.99/month or $29.99/year. But you no longer have to subscribe just to find out whether the climb is worth it.
How to move up the board
Every mode feeds your rank. The Daily Challenge, Solo Play, the weekly Trending Now refresh, head-to-head matches with friends — play, earn XP, and watch your number move. The fastest climbers tend to be the players who show up each day for the fresh questions and keep their streak alive.
